Position Summary
As a member of the ENTEC Project Management Team, you will manage the delivery of HVAC, Energy, Retro-commissioning and Building Automation projects throughout the organization. You will typically engage with projects once the job is sold, but will also assist the sales team in assembling scopes and schedules to provide to the client. Once the project has sold, you will direct resources inside and outside the company to deliver the project on time, within costs and with highest quality. You will be an integral part of numerous projects across our service territory at any given time and be responsible for getting the best results possible.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing and coordinating projects by serving as the project leader on assigned projects
- Communicating with all internal and external team members, including owners, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders at regular intervals to ensure project status and other information is shared appropriately and project schedules are maintained
- Determining and managing execution of work, manpower forecasts, and material resources
- Coordinating with and overseeing subcontractors to ensure their work is completed with adherence to the schedule and to their scope of work
- Scheduling field resources and providing support to ensure an efficient installation, start up, and turnover to the client

- Developing and managing documentation associated with change orders, requests for information and project schedules
- Invoicing of project work completed to ensure positive cash flow
- Maintaining a working knowledge of general conditions, scope of work, schedule, and specifications of each project and keeping all project team members fully informed on the project status
- Planning ahead to prevent problems, resolving any emerging issues before they become a problem, and identifying and managing risks
- Ensuring contractual obligations are met including compliance with safety guidelines
- Fostering and developing relationships with clients as well as other contractors associated with each project
- Attending regularly scheduled meetings with the sales estimator to ensure continuity in our approach to mitigate hurdles during execution
Qualifications and Capabilities
Required:
- 5 years of HVAC or other mechanical industry experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication
- Ability to work well individually and in a collaborative environment
- Flexibility – each project may require a custom solution and unique approach
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
- Ability to manage conflict and solve problems
Preferred:
- Associate degree with 2 years of construction project management experience in the HVAC or mechanical industry, or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly
- Ability to kneel, squat, twist, bend, and reach regularly
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements, use hand tools with dexterity and grasp and manipulate small objects
- Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly, as required
- Ability to regularly stand, sit, talk, hear, and operate phones and computers
Anticipated Salary Range and Employee Benefits
- $70,000 - $100,000, depending on level of experience
