Civil Engineer, Land Development

Role and Responsibilities

• Civil design
• Environmental permitting
• Municipal approvals (i.e. zoning, land development)
• Working with field crews to make design adjustments around obstacles
• Work with CAD drafters and designers to incorporate GIS data into a civil CAD design
• Stormwater management analysis and design in accordance with current regulations
• Site layout
• Grading
• Sedimentation and erosion control
• Sustainable design
• Report writing
• Proposal and marketing development
• Perform site visits as necessary

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (preferably civil or other related engineering field of study)
• 5 years of land development experience
• EIT License required (PE preferred)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD (Civil 3D 2015 or newer)
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Skills

• Active P.E. license a plus
• Familiarity with MS4 requirements and inspections
• Working knowledge of HEC-RAS and H&H report writing
• Familiarity with NPDES and Chapter 105 permitting
• Municipal planning and grants experience
