Senior Project Manager / Director / Vice President – Land Development Engineering Firm
About the Company: Our client, a well-established Land Development Engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager, Director, or Vice President with aspirations to grow into a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or Chief Operating Officer (COO) role. This position is ideal for a driven professional looking to advance into executive leadership while contributing to the firm’s ongoing success and expansion. The selected candidate will have a pathway to future equity in the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Client Management
- Oversee and manage multiple land development and civil engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Lead public presentations and regulatory approval processes.
Operational & Financial Oversight
- Support senior leadership in operational decision-making and long-term business strategy.
- Contribute to budgeting, project profitability tracking, and financial forecasting.
- Assist in contract negotiations and manage subcontractor relationships.
- Ensure efficiency in project execution, maintaining quality control and risk mitigation.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams, including Project Engineers, Engineers, and CADD Operators.
- Support the recruitment, retention, and professional development of staff.
- Provide direction and strategic planning for project execution and team collaboration.
Strategic Growth & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and client relationships.
- Support marketing and proposal development efforts to expand the firm’s footprint.
- Develop strategies for long-term firm growth with a clear path toward leadership succession.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required.
- Licenses: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Experience:
- 10 years in civil engineering, land development, and project management.
- Experience as a Senior Project Manager, Director, or Vice President with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong track record in client management, project execution, and business development.
- Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal land development regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project) and general knowledge of AutoCAD.
