The overall role of the designer is to facilitate the creation of drawing sets and support documentation for various building automation & Access Control systems. This role will work closely with the inter-departmental groups and individuals during the project life cycle. The role is responsible for reviewing project contract drawings and specifications to ensure the completeness of scope and contract responsibilities are being met in a timely manner. Previous work knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Access Control Systems (ACS) will be helpful in being successful in this position, as well as having previous drafting experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop building automation and Access control system drawings for commercial and industrial properties
- Provide detailed technical product documentation, including system diagrams, wiring schematics, and equipment specifications
- Effectively communicate with appropriate team members and advise them of any significant issues / problems encountered in a timely manner, along with recommended solutions to be taken
- Work with clients, engineers and contract holders during the course of the project to ensure system requirements and specification being met
- Be willing to put in the effort that is necessary to ensure that job duties are performed completely and accurately
