Summary: Seeking a Design Engineer III experienced in aerospace or aircraft for 3D modeling, design for manufacturability, and maintaining design documentation.
Job Requirements:
Associates degree from a U.S. Department of Education accredited college or university
10 years of experience with SolidWorks modeling software
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance
Preferred Skills:
Experience in aerospace or aircraft
Job Responsibilities:
Design and create 3D models and drawings for new products, modifications, and upgrades
Apply MIL-SPEC, FAA, and best commercial practices for manufacturability, reliability, and maintainability
Create virtual solid models for components, systems, and assemblies
Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and evaluate mass properties on component assemblies
Maintain configuration control of design and manufacturing documentation using SolidWorks PDM
Ensure compliance with Quality Requirements, ISO 9001/AS9100 standards, company policies, procedures, goals, and objectives
Pay Details: $40.00 to $54.00 per hour
