Quality Engineer
35-40/HR
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Spaceflight Cryocooler Build Engineer and Technicians, create project-specific production control documentation such as routings, process documents and test procedures.
- Standup and chair the Spaceflight Configuration Control Board.
- Maintain control of bonded-storage inventory.
- Collect documentation for and organize end item data packages in line with customer needs and Quality standards.
- Collect, organize, and maintain project-based electronic inspection data as well as running surface pictures and evaluation.
- Initiate non-conforming material coordination and resolution, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action processes, including interfacing with external customers to resolve quality issues. Appropriately quarantine non-conforming materials.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and improvement of the AMT Quality Management System.
Qualifications:
- Four-year Engineering or Industrial Technology Degree preferred; equivalent work experience acceptable.
- Minimum 5 years Quality Engineering experience required; aerospace experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of mechanical/technical processes.
- Experience writing technical and/or process documents.
- Experience reading technical specifications and processes, engineering drawings and descriptions as they relate to engineering designs, process flow, manufacturing techniques and quality standards, ISO experience is highly desirable
