Satellite Flight Software & FDIR Systems Engineer

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Satellite Flight Software & FDIR System Engineer to lead and support the development, testing, and validation of embedded flight software applications for LEO/MEO/GEO communication satellites.

Job Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in system design and testing for Flight Software and FDIR with satellite missions (LEO/MEO/GEO)

• Knowledge of CCSDS, ECSS, Internet Protocol standards

• Experience with 1553, SpaceWire, RS422/485, CAN, Ethernet interfaces

• Proficiency with real-time cores, embedded Linux, and Matlab/Simulink

Job Responsibilities:

• Define and develop embedded flight software architecture, system design, implementation, and validation for satellites and payloads

• Conduct mission analysis for Software CONOPs requirements

• Act as technical lead for communication satellite software specifications, interfacing with cross-functional teams

• Manage payload embedded software functions and interfaces, including database and FDIR definition and V&V

• Define and specify Space Segment and Ground Segment ICDs for end-to-end systems

• Support program phases: requirements definition, SOC, verification and validation matrix, and program reviews (EQSR, SRR, PDR, CDR)

• Participate in all test reviews and activities, including TRR, TRB, DRB, NCRs, subsystem assembly, integration, and testing

• Supervise satellite testing (EGSE), perform data analysis, and support IOT

• Develop subsystem operations manuals and operational procedures

Pay: 50-75

Pay Details: $50.00 to $75.00 per hour
