Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer III with expertise in embedded software development for defense and intelligence systems. This role requires a current Secret DoD Clearance and involves designing, developing, and analyzing software applications in real-time embedded environments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 8 years of software development experience
- Proficiency in C/C and Python for Linux systems
- Strong understanding of multi-threading/multi-processing
- Experience with ARM-based development interfacing with FPGA
- United States Citizenship required due to the nature of the work
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with build tools such as Linux VMs and Docker
- Experience with embedded drivers (TCP/IP, UART, I2C, PCIe) under Linux
- Knowledge of software configuration management tools (e.g., Git, SVN)
- Experience with defect tracking tools (preferably JIRA)
- Understanding of EVMS for analyzing Software CI health
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, analyze, test, and debug software applications in real-time embedded environments
- Customize and configure the Linux OS for target systems
- Develop kernel space (BSP, Drivers) and user space applications to interface with devices and FPGA registers
- Document specifications, including design documents, interface documents, and test plans
- Lead technical activities, ensuring timely completion within budget
