What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Substation Engineer position at Entegee?
Summary: Seeking a Senior Substation Engineer with a PE license to lead technical development and project management in electrical engineering for high voltage substations.
Requirements:
- 4-year degree
- 15 years of experience in consulting or substation engineering/design
- Stable work history with no gaps in the last 10 years
- PE license (OH preferred or working towards it)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with outdoor and yard electromechanical substation equipment
- Knowledge of relaying protection and control schemes
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Project Engineer on complex projects
- Lead QAQC engineer coordination and reviews
- Assist with proposal development, estimating manhours, and construction cost estimates
- Develop scope and QAQC processes, review documentation
- Review/create electrical diagrams for high voltage substations
- Coordinate project document completion internally and externally
- Review design team work, check progress, alert Project Manager on needed changes
- Train less experienced team members in technical substation knowledge
