Sr. Substation Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Senior Substation Engineer with a PE license to lead technical development and project management in electrical engineering for high voltage substations.

Requirements:

• 4-year degree
• 15 years of experience in consulting or substation engineering/design
• Stable work history with no gaps in the last 10 years
• PE license (OH preferred or working towards it)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with outdoor and yard electromechanical substation equipment
• Knowledge of relaying protection and control schemes

Responsibilities:

• Serve as Project Engineer on complex projects
• Lead QAQC engineer coordination and reviews
• Assist with proposal development, estimating manhours, and construction cost estimates
• Develop scope and QAQC processes, review documentation
• Review/create electrical diagrams for high voltage substations
• Coordinate project document completion internally and externally
• Review design team work, check progress, alert Project Manager on needed changes
• Train less experienced team members in technical substation knowledge
