This includes the following production procedures:
- Sampling: raw materials, in-process mixtures, and final product for analysis
- Packaging finished goods for shipment
- Basic area and equipment cleaning/maintenance
- Waste handling/disposal
- Independently transfer raw materials from storage containers to reaction vessels while maintaining an accurate record of materials used in the production of product.
- Follow written work instructions for batch production.
- Maintain accurate records of all significant information regarding the process including temperature, pressure, weights, lot numbers, and deviations.
- Perform minor routine maintenance as required.
- Operate a forklift.
- Sample in-process reactions in a safe manner.
- Develop a good working knowledge of basic chemical practice including distillation (vacuum & atmospheric), washes, extractions and filtrations.
- Interact well with coworkers and supervisors regarding concerns and potential process and/or safety improvements.
- Other functions as requested by management.
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2-5 years’ experience as a chemical operator.
- Valid Drivers License
- This requires the ability to wear full-face respirator and heavy lifting (30 lbs minimum). Must have the ability to stand, walk, climb, and occasionally perform other physically demanding duties.
