What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at Entegris, Inc.?
The Role
The Quality Inspector I supports the Quality Team by performing inspection, test and measurement duties on products and processes to ensure conformance to requirements.
Pay: $16 - $19 per hour
In this role you will
- Responsible for visually verifying product.
- Ensures product is consistent with established specifications and escalates quality issues as appropriate.
- Ensures highest possible product quality and adherence to the Entegris quality system, ISO and/or other standards.
- Inspection of products against documented Entegris specifications.
- Inspection of products against product drawings / blueprints.
- Maintains proper use and care of measurement equipment.
- Sets up or runs current program files on automated equipment when required for part inspection.
- Effectively communicates product status to the quality supervisor and management.
- Show the ability to take the initiative on issues with little or no direction.
- Execute Quality Work Requests as required by the engineering teams.
- Ensure all discrepant material control procedures are followed.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-year manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read, understand, and follow documented processes, procedures and drawings
- Good attention to detail; ability to perform basic math computations and computer data entry
- Ability to use measuring devices, hand tools, and automated equipment
- Ability to lift 60 lbs., climb a ladder up to 15 ft. and walk and stand during entire shift
- Ability to repetitively pinch and grasp hand tools, repetitively twist, bend and reach upward
- Works well independently and with a group on collaborative projects; able to take direction and instruction
