ENTEK is seeking applications for an Electrical Panel Builder role to join us on-site at our Lebanon, Oregon location (relocation within 40 miles of Lebanon is required).
As an Electrical Panel Builder at ENTEK, you will install electrical components and assemble them into control cabinets, electrical and industrial equipment, and related industrial apparatus, according to the drawing package.
Your responsibilities as an Electrical Panel Builder will also include laying out back panels for electrical component installations. You’ll also drill and tap holes in specified locations for mounting control units using hand tools and a drill press. Finally, you will terminate wires to all components for low—and high-voltage applications. Install the back panel into the cabinet. Terminate wires from cabinets to machines as required.
Requirements:Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience.
- Must be able to read drawing packages and build electrical panels.
- Strong ability to solve practical problems, deal with several variables where limited standardization exists and interpret various instructions in written oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Demonstrated ability to use discretion and make independent decisions with little or no input from other sources.
- Demonstrated ability to perform under strict deadlines and work extra hours without warning.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Must have a high attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently for significant periods.
- Ability to perform under strict deadlines and work extra hours without warning.
- Satisfactory results from a pre-employment fit-for-duty screen and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- UL 508A panel building experience
- Basic electrical knowledge.
Working Environment
The hours for this role are Monday-Friday, 7:00a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This role is based in a manufacturing shop environment, which may require the employee to near moving mechanical parts. The incumbent will spend most of their 8-hour shifts on their feet. This role requires the incumbent to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Incumbents will complete tasks that require finger dexterity, reaching, handling of materials and tools/and equipment, talking, and hearing, as well as near and far sight, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The individual in this role may be required to kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, and/or balance. The role may occasionally expose the employee to fumes and airborne particles, as well as temporarily high temperatures and temporarily bright light. This role requires wearing eye and hearing protection while working.
