Plant Production Engineer
Location: Near Leland, MSIndustry: Chemical Manufacturing
A leading chemical manufacturing company is seeking a Plant Production Engineer to drive process optimization and continuous improvement across formulation and related production units. This role will focus on enhancing safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, as well as supporting new product introductions and equipment design/commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:Lead process improvement initiatives to maximize production efficiency and minimize variances.Implement Statistical Process Controls (SPC) to enhance safety, quality, and cost control.Optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and troubleshoot production challenges.Maintain and update Bill of Materials (BOM), scrap factors, and production routings.Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.Support Management of Change (MOC) processes and ensure compliance with safety policies.Assist with capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, equipment commissioning, and plant personnel training.Collaborate with production, operations, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.Minimum 2 years in manufacturing, process, or quality engineering.Proficiency in Six Sigma, Lean, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, and 5S.Experience with MRP/ERP, MES, PLC, SPC software, and database programming.Background in batch chemical manufacturing, Process Safety Management, and project management.Familiarity with MS SharePoint and PowerBI is a plus.Compensation & Benefits:Base salary: $77,500 - $99,000, depending on location and experience.Competitive benefits package, including medical, financial, and professional development support.12% 401k Match(Safe Harboring)6-10% Yearly Bonus
