Job Summary/Purpose:
This position will provide support for Entergy’s regulated and unregulated business units by maximizing the risk adjusted returns of Entergy’s trust investments through participating in investment oversight and various financial analyses.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Administer the benefits and nuclear decommissioning investments overseen within Treasury. This includes Entergy's funded benefit plan trusts (pension, savings plan and post-retirement health and welfare trusts) and nuclear decommissioning trust funds. Manage cash flows into and out of the trusts, including contributions, vendor invoices, benefit funding, decommissioning withdrawals, etc. Monitor and evaluate investment manager and trustee performance and compliance with guidelines. Actively participate in in-person and/or virtual meetings with investment managers, consultants and trustees on investment performance and markets. Monitor trust performance and its impact to Entergy’s financial statements. Provide input on policy, guidelines and manager/vendor selection. Know and comply with regulations the trusts operate under: IRS, state public service/utility commissions, DOL, ERISA, NRC. Assist with rate case inputs and regulatory modeling. Assist with or lead asset allocation studies, manager searches, research projects into new products and other investment-related project work. This position is in the office 3 days a week, has needs to work in person for select events after hours in order to maintain our banking relationships and may have occasional overnight travel requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position:
- Bachelor’s degree – Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related degree. Desired: MBA or Masters in Accounting
Minimum experience required of the position:
- Financial Analyst III: 4 years of business experience in accounting, banking, finance, project development or related fields.
- Lead Financial Analyst: 6 years of business experience in accounting, banking, finance, project development or related fields.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
- Acute attention to detail and accuracy required on all projects.
- Some ability to work additional or atypical hours.
- Ability to work within a team environment. Ability to analyze problems and create solutions.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple time sensitive projects effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to effectively relate with a broad array of personalities coming from a variety of corporate cultures.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Minimum Certifications/Licenses required of the position:
- CPA or CFA desireable
