Job Summary/Purpose:
Internally classified as "IT Consultant - Sr (Integration Factory)" this position focuses on Middleware Application Management and is responsible for supporting leadership and providing enhancement support for a defined set of Entergy applications in Middleware area supporting all Business Units. The primary focus of this role will be to support projects leveraging Entergy’s Tibco environments, Tibco applications, MFT, WebLogic/WebCenter Portal environments and applications. This role is responsible to ensure that adequate project support is provided from estimation through delivery. This role will work closely with support teams, external vendors and project teams to manage all issues related to the applications in the environment. This roll will act as the liaison between the application end users, business users, support and project team members and the IT SDM.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Responsible for working with project teams and external vendors to ensure timely project estimations are provided.
  • Oversight of project team members and vendor support in the implementation of projects. Provide leadership to the project teams (Entergy & Partner) and prioritize the work for the team.
  • Ensure compliance with all project deployment methodologies, internal standards (e.g., Security, Enterprise Architecture (EA)), operational guidelines in support of IT's strategy and organizational objectives, and compliance with Entergy's policies and procedures.
  • Active management and transparent reporting of application issues, resolutions, and performance to IT leadership.
  • Maintain awareness of the IT roadmap for potential future projects; maintain and plan for future demand for resources.
  • Manage portfolio of assigned projects, monitoring the deliverables and outcomes of the team.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers and Project/COE leads to ensure seamless transition into production environment. Plan and execute Service Introduction and knowledge transfer from project teams to Operations team.

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum education and experience required of the position
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7 years of experience working with production applications is required, OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree 11 years of experience working with production applications is required.
Advanced degree is a plus.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
Knowledge and experience with Tibco suite of products (BW, EMS, APIX, Mashery, MFT). Experience managing application support and maintenance functions in an organization or outsourced environment. Ability to leverage and mentor others through technical team leadership. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Customer centric approach and strong data analytical ability.

Technology certifications are a plus
