Financial Services Representative Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Originate accounts and services, handle teller transactions, and respond to customer inquiries by telephone and in person
Account Origination
Serves customers in opening new accounts for commercial and consumer clients, having knowledge of bank products to make recommendations based on customer needs.
Teller Duties
Performs all teller duties, including client transactions, maintaining and balancing a cash drawer, and providing outstanding customer service for lobby and phone requests.
Problem Resolution
Researches and resolves client problems, acting as the customer liaison between other bank departments.
Training and Compliance
Actively participates in training programs to maintain and acquire additional job knowledge and skills, complying with all department and company policies, procedures, audit guidelines, and regulations.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to cross-sale products and services
- Maintain confidentiality of client transactions and bank records
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Thorough knowledge of bank operations, products, and services offered at the bank
- Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act
Education and Experience
Associates degree in a business-related field or two years of related experience or a combination of education and experience.
Computer and Software Skills
Skilled in the operation of a personal computer, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and Salesforce.
