VP, Loan Documentation Manager
Job Description:
Summary
Responsible for the overall function of Commercial Loan Documentation staff, including workflow between commercial loan documentation and the Units. Regular interaction with units, training within, and outside loan documentation, including travel to other Units and Regions. Responsible for analyzing commercial documentation packages for all loan types of commercial loans. Reviews the integrity of documents used in closing the loan, and ensures the documentation process results in legally binding documents which are in compliance with Federal regulation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide management of all commercial loans on an ongoing, day-to-day basis.
  • Management of commercial loans including metrics measurements and individual performance measures.
  • Liaison with specified legal counsel on documentation needs outside the internal documentation group.
  • Work in partnership with the Relationship Managers and leaders and act as a liaison with others as needed.
  • Leads the development, implementation and monitoring of loan documentation procedures assuring quality control and high-performance standards and high regulatory and compliance ratings.
  • Verification of completeness of Loan Workflow applications and corresponding documents prior to documenting.
  • Understanding of title commitments, letter reports, and construction binders, flood requirements, organizational documents and other internal documentation requirements in compliance with Federal Regulations.
  • Responsible for providing functional, technical and leadership to the Consumer and Commercial team.
  • Promotes and supports business growth by implementing and maintaining policies, procedures and performance metrics designed to ensure effective oversight.
  • Activity participates in the design and delivery of LaserPro Lending functionality ensuring the platform is utilized to create maximum efficiency and usability.
  • Oversee various loan documentation training and processes for Consumer renewals and modification.
  • Special projects, including system enhancements, issues.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Well versed with title work, flood requirements, entity documents and other internal documentation requirements in compliance with Federal Regulations.
  • Possesses the ability to resolve documentation issues.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial Loan collateral requirements
  • Solid understanding of bank’s special provisions and language substitutions in the loan documentation system and other agreements
  • Ability to clearly communicate with co-workers, title companies, attorneys and other vendors as required
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal in a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists and ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Possesses a high level of flexibility, versatility, commitment, good judgment and ability to be well organized.
  • Skillful at establishing priorities and channeling effort productively.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Loan Documentation Team
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; equivalent years if relevant work experience.
  • Seven to ten years Loan Documentation Management experience, specializing in Commercial Loans.
  • Five to seven years management experience specializing in collateral document management and exception tracking.
  • Strong knowledge of Consumer and Commercial loan collateral requirements.
