Enterprise Electrical is a fast-growing Commercial Electrical Contractor based in Houston, Tx that specializes in Design-Build projects and we are looking to add a Sr. PM to our team. Position Objective:
Oversee the planning of various construction projects to ensure jobs are delivered on time according to contractual requirements as detailed in the scope of work and achieve revenue goals. Duties include communication & collaboration with Electrical Enterprise, management, accounting staff, field employees, external and internal engineers & architects, owners, general contractors, and other job site personnel to ensure job specifications are met. The Sr. PM will negotiate pricing with suppliers and ensure procurement and logistics of all necessary supplies, material, labor, rental equipment, tools & necessary resources are in place and on schedule for the duration of the project. The Sr. PM will delegate work, monitor, and track direct and indirect expenditures, & oversee labor. Sr.PM will manage all subcontractors and any other parties involved with the project. Additional duties include ensuring permitting, compliance requirements, health, and safety standards are met. Sr. PM’s will create a schedule of values for each project, create changes orders as needed, evaluate job progress and coordinate with management and accounting for monthly billing.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Assume primary project leadership responsibilities in partnership with other key team members and project personnel.
• Evaluate the contractual scope of work. Plan, organize and staff key project positions, subordinate project managers, general superintendents etc.
• Establish project ejectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of Enterprise Electrical policies.
• Initiate and maintain liaison with clients, a/e contacts, and vendors to facilitate successful construction activities.
• Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontracts.
• Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site project superintendent. Prepare, issue and update master project schedule to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts (costs, billings, and collections) to maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow while simultaneously maintaining a positive relationship with client.
• Manage risks. Investigate potentially serious situations to circumvent problems or promptly implement corrective measures as required.
• Ensure project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and Enterprise Electrical standards.
• Supervise/mentor the work of other project managers and assistant project managers, when assigned.
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by group vice president, owner, or as project dictates.
Skills and Qualifications
• Experience: Extensive (10 years) experience/knowledge of electrical construction design, finance, and management.
• Size of Projects: $10,000 to $10 M
• Mentorship: Able to mentor the Asst PM and PM
• Knowledge: Thorough understanding or corporate and industry practices, process, standards, etc.
• Client Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients by addressing their concerns and delivering project objectives.
• Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans that outline the scope, objectives, budget, timeline, and required resources.
• Superior communication and interpersonal: Tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.
• OSHA-3- certification: If not currently certified, must be obtained within six (6) months within date to hire.
• Leadership: Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Customer Satisfactory: Employment is contingent upon satisfying all jobsite-specific access requirements, with no outstanding restrictions from any jobsite or from working with any of Enterprises’ general contractors, owners, customers.
