CLASSIFICATION: W-2 hourly or 1099 hourly. Part-time.
COMPENSATION RANGE: $15.00 - $35.00 per our commensurate on experience, education and credentials. Benefits also include paid time off, medical / dental / vision insurance premium support, retirement benefits.
WORK SCHEDULE: Up to 20 hours per week as scheduled by the supervisor and on call as needed
ANTICIPATED TRAVEL: 50% of the time. You will use a company vehicle. There is no additional compensation for travel.

SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a reliable, experienced Electrician to support a wide range of residential and commercial electrical projects, repairs, and maintenance needs across properties in the Baltimore area. The ideal candidate is a licensed professional who can work independently, troubleshoot effectively, and complete projects safely and efficiently.
This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling, ideal for an electrician seeking supplemental work or project-based engagements. Work may include routine maintenance, installations, inspections, emergency repairs, and renovation support.
SCHEDULED DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform electrical installations, upgrades, and repairs for residential and commercial properties
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, including short circuits, faulty wiring, or malfunctioning fixtures
- Install and maintain lighting, outlets, switches, panels, circuit breakers, and electrical systems
- Conduct inspections and ensure work complies with local, state, and NEC electrical codes
- Respond to service calls, emergency repairs, and general maintenance requests as scheduled
- Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams as needed
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time on task
UNSCHEDULED DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist supervisor with work related requests.
• Responsible for following regulations of COMAR, CARF, any other regulatory body, and company policies/ procedures related to service delivery and documentation and co-facilitating orientation of all new hires to these as well.
• Support the maintenance of a safe environment by participating in training and drills as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client’s treatment.
• Participate in external and internal audits/surveys (CARF/CSA/OHCQ) as directed by the supervisor.
• Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement plans by completing periodic audits or other activities to ensure regulatory compliance and/or improve service delivery.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Regularly walk, stand or stoop; occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 100 pounds; and regularly drives a motor vehicle.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Work is performed indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions.
• May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Exposure to potentially hazardous materials, heights, and tight spaces.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain situations.
Qualifications
COMPETENCY / EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Familiarity with local and national electrical codes
- Own tools and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must carry or be willing to obtain general liability insurance (if 1099)
- Experience in property management or multifamily housing maintenance
- Ability to estimate project costs and materials
- Comfortable working in occupied units or tenant environments
EDUCATION:
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification is a plus.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
- Valid Maryland journeyman or master electrician license
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
