Practice Features
- The practice consists of 4 ObGyn physicians, 6 Certified Nurse Midwives, and one Nurse Practitioner.
- Average of 300 births per year, including VBACs.
- The Midwives and Nurse Practitioners provide most of the routine OB and well-woman / person care.
- ObGyn physicians provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for patients of all ages, both in-office and on-call during off-hours.
- Call is 10 days for 1.0 FTE and 1 : 4 weekends.
- Call is back up to a Midwife who takes the first call and handles routine vaginal deliveries and labor management, while also taking patient calls.
- Physician office visits consist of more complex OB and GYN consults and a large breadth of office procedures.
- 3-4 office days per week.
- 60-bed non-profit community hospital.
- Serving a rural population of 55,000 people.
