Floor Technician / Custodian

General Responsibilities:

· EPSI is seeking experienced floor techs who are willing and able to occasionally travel to various cities and towns throughout Central Texas (Austin & San Antonio area).

Floor techs will clean and maintain carpeted and hard surface floors of varying square footage. The majority of travel will occur during summer months for stripping and waxing, and holiday breaks for auto-scrubbing and carpet extractions. Travel may be between 2 to 5 days at a time. EPSI provides transportation, equipment, supplies, per diem, and covers all legitimate travel expenses for our employees in accordance with our travel policy. Before and After time-stamped photos are required of all completed work. This is an exciting opportunity for applicants who enjoy travel and who know floor care.

Specific Responsibilities:

· Maintain hard surface floors by sweeping , mopping ,buffing, stripping, and refinishing floors.

· Clean baseboards, corners, and doors.

· Perform finishing techniques to protect floors.

· Vacuum and shampoo carpets to remove dirt and stains.

· Other duties as assigned.

Accountable for:

· Timely, accurate, and cost-effective performance of duties.

· Punctual and reliable attendance.

Work Conditions:

· Work is performed mostly indoors, in a school environment.

· Afternoons/Evenings (Work hours are subject to change among all shifts, as necessary).

Safety:

EPSI will provide all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Hazards associated with this position may include, but not be limited to, slips, trips, falls, elevated noise and dust, among other like hazards.

Mandatory Job Requirements:

· Must be willing to travel to various towns throughout Central & West Texas

· Ability to attend work regularly and arrive on time.

. Valid Drivers License

· Ability to operate stripping, polishing, and shampooing equipment such as electrical buffing, scrubbing, and extractor machines, electric dry foam shampoo machine, vacuum, battery operated and self-propelled floor scrubber and carpet shampoo machines.
