Hospital Environmental Services (HES) Executive Housekeeper
EPSI seeks an experienced Hospital Environmental Services leader to oversee our cleaning and disinfection services for Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital (BJACH), Fort Polk, LA. BJACH supports US military members, their families, and veterans as well as the local Fort Polk community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and inspect the work of staff.
- Manage overall jobsite and contract performance, to include cleaning, disinfection, terminal cleans, and floor care.
- Manage assigned budgets (for example: labor, supply, materials, microfiber laundering and overhead).
- Adjust schedules and man hours to meet contract needs and workload surges.
- Conduct/Review Quality Control inspections and implement corrective action as necessary.
- Support shift supervisors in ensuring tasks are completed on time and to contract standards.
- Ensure company vehicles and equipment are properly used and maintained.
- Participate in the contract modification (pricing adjustment) process with site government personnel and corporate staff.
- Review monthly jobsite reports; evaluate performance against budget and other quality of service metrics.
- Regularly meet and communicate with government representatives.
- Review employee injury reports/accident investigations.
- Maintain a safe work environment with zero employee injuries.
- Continuously improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Manage and oversee hospital aseptic training in accordance with AHE standard procedures.
- Ensure employees understand and comply with the company’s Employee Handbook and all its environmental services policy and procedure manuals.
- Advise and oversee resolutions and procedures for meeting contract standards and requirements.
- Review, prepare, and present accurate reports on operations, inspections and hospital project activities.
- Implement and update contract performance goals and objectives.
- Establish work schedules and methods for cleaning and disinfection services to meet the inspection standards of authorized in-house and outside inspection agencies.
- Promptly respond to and resolve customer inquiries and complaints.
- Promptly address after-hour assignments, as required.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Assist fellow employees by helping with cleaning when shorthanded.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience overseeing a custodial operation of similar size and scope, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- Possessing a Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) or certificate of completion for all contract requirement courses from the International Executive Housekeeper's Association as a Certified/Registered Executive Housekeeper (CEH or REH) is a plus; the Executive Housekeeper must earn this credential upon assuming the positions.
- Excellent communication skills, job knowledge, training experience, and customer service experience are required.
- Experience managing a diverse staff, to include employees with disabilities, is a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.
- Ability to work independently and recommend solutions to hospital environmental service problems.
- Competent with Microsoft Word, Outlook email, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Superior attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while attending to multiple tasks and demands at multiple facilities.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation is a plus.
- Management and leadership skills required.
Working Conditions:
- Works in hospital and office areas.
- Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time; hours are typically between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. As a salaried position, work hours may change due to requirements with or without notice. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
