Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support our Tribal Council. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional administrative skills and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment while providing comprehensive support to the Tribal Council.
Duties
- Manage and maintain executive schedules, including appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare agendas, create council packets.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accessible.
- Works with the Tribal Secretary to assist and maintain Tribal Council Meeting Minutes.
- Maintain the Tribes resolution file and provide resolutions as required by Council, Executive Management and Federal Agencies.
- Organize and file documents systematically for easy retrieval, ensuring confidentiality where necessary.
- Assist with clerical tasks such as preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence using Microsoft Office.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality of all matters involved in this position.
- Attend all meetings of the Tribal Council and other meetings as directed by the Tribal Council.
- Be available as needed by the Tribal Council.
Experience
- 5 year experience as an Executive Assistant or in other administrative roles is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
- Familiarity with data entry processes and administrative tasks is required.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for transcribing and interacting with various stakeholders.
- Previous experience in front desk or personal assistant roles is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience working with Tribes and Tribal Government preferred.
