Duties
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately, following established protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Assist in IV infusion preparations and medication administration as directed by licensed pharmacists.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering inquiries and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and assist in managing stock levels.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements while handling medications.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills related to pharmacy practices.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program.
- Experience in a hospital or acute care pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Proficient in aseptic technique and IV infusion preparation.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
