What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical/ Cost Estimator position at Enterprise Solutions Inc?
We are looking to hire an experienced electrical estimator to determine the approximate costs of various electrical installations for industrial and residential projects. The electrical estimator’s responsibilities include determining how long each contracting job will last, researching market prices for project materials and equipment, and communicating with clients to determine the scope of each project. You should also be able to identify ways to continually improve cost-estimating procedures to reduce inconsistencies between estimated and actual project costs.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred, equivalent trade experience, and 2 years of electrical estimating experience in the electrical contracting industry.
Experience in developing electrical service quotes/estimates in a similar role.Knowledge of electrical sub-trades scope of work.
Solid understanding of electrical drawings and the ability to interpret schematics and P&IDs.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel); knowledge of Accubid Estimating Software.Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization, customers, contractors, and other business partners.

Responsibilities
Prepare cost estimates for various projects, including conceptual, design-build, and general tender work.
Independently calculate materials, labor, and equipment costs based on proposals, plans, and specifications, including project closings.
Review data to determine material and labor requirements, creating detailed itemized lists.
Draft requests for quotations to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
Utilize estimating software (e.g., Accubid Classic or Anywhere) for precise cost calculations.Collaborate with the Estimating Manager to establish indirect costs and overheads for each estimate.
