Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Rehabilitation to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute care and experience working with patients in various rehabilitation settings. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care, assessing patient needs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and emotional health to determine rehabilitation needs.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments, goals, and preferences.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including injections and spinal taps when necessary.
• Monitor patients' progress throughout their rehabilitation journey, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, self-care techniques, and health management strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
• Provide support and guidance to nursing assistants and other support staff in the delivery of patient care.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Experience in acute care settings; prior experience in nursing homes or rehabilitation facilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of physiology and the ability to lift patients safely during transfers and mobility assistance.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and the ability to interpret lab results relevant to rehabilitation needs.
• Proficiency in administering injections and performing spinal taps as required by patient conditions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Experience working in pediatric intensive care units (PICU) is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment while demonstrating strong critical thinking skills.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
