We're looking for a Safety Manager for our growing Safety Department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in strategies and initiatives to promote and maintain a positive safety culture.
- Inspect jobsites across the southeast to identify and correct deficiencies or potential hazards, and to ensure compliance with OSHA / DOT / Company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist management in the investigation of safety-related incidents and injuries to determine causes and contributing factors.
- Responsible for effective and professional communication with General Contractors, Company management and field employees.
- Assist management with safety performance metrics to facilitate continuous, on-going improvement of the company’s safety results.
- Conduct or facilitate safety training and education programs to supervisory and field employees through formal training classes or safety meetings.
- Assist in the creation and updating of safety policies and training courses.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Safety.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical construction or related construction fields.
- OSHA 30 required, additional safety certifications desired.
- Strong leadership qualities, unafraid to make on-the-spot corrections and address issues with field leadership.
- Deadline and detail-oriented.
- Must be willing to fly commercial to job locations across the southeast US quarterly.
