Job Description:
Manager is responsible for directing the operation of the food service program in the school, including assigning duties to cooks, keeping inventories, inspecting areas to maintain high standards of sanitation, keeping records pertinent to food services of the school, maintaining accurate daily records and completing food service reports according to county, state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift containers and cases of food weighing a maximum of 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques and safe work habits
- ServSafe certified
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Responsible for completion of food, supplies and equipment inventory and daily meal production reports
- Ensures all kitchen and dining areas are clean at the end of the workday
- Responsible for safe, proper equipment use, care, cleanliness and repair reporting
- Delegates daily work assignments in a fair and equitable manner, using a rotation system so all cooks become familiar with the required duties
- Assists with the washing of trays, pots, pans and utensils and sweeping and mopping kitchen and storage areas
- Assists with cleaning all equipment used in preparing and serving meals
- Assists with serving food to students and faculty
