We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Leadership and Financial Board Reporting Director to oversee all aspects of executive and board-level reporting. This critical role will focus on synthesizing key business insights, preparing leadership-level communications, and ensuring accurate, timely, and effective reporting to the Board of Directors and senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of corporate governance, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver comprehensive reports that support decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities


  • Board Reporting & Presentations
    • Lead the preparation and delivery of board materials, including quarterly and annual reports, financial updates, and strategic initiatives.
    • Develop clear, concise, and insightful presentations for the Board of Directors, outlining business performance, key initiatives, and long-term strategies.
    • Collaborate with senior executives and department heads to gather and analyze information for board-level reporting.
  • Leadership Reporting & Insights
    • Provide regular reports to senior leadership, offering data-driven insights on business performance, risks, and opportunities.
    • Manage the cadence of leadership reporting to ensure timely updates that align with key business milestones.
    • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, providing real-time analytics and insights to drive decision-making.
  • Corporate Governance
    • Ensure all board reporting adheres to corporate governance standards, maintaining accuracy and completeness in all communications.
    • Oversee the implementation of governance processes that align with board expectations and organizational goals.
    • Support compliance with corporate policies and ensure that all reporting meets the necessary regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with finance, legal, and operations teams to gather data and align reporting efforts across the organization.
    • Partner with department leaders to ensure that strategic initiatives and operational results are effectively communicated to the Board and senior leadership.
  • Strategic Business Analysis
    • Provide strategic insights by analyzing business trends, financial performance, and key metrics that impact organizational objectives.
    • Present analysis and findings to senior leadership, offering recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
    • Lead efforts to improve the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all leadership and board reporting.

Job Requirements / Qualifications Needed


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in corporate reporting, financial planning & analysis, or similar leadership reporting roles.
  • Extensive experience preparing reports and presentations for the C-suite and Board of Directors.
  • Prior experience in the entertainment industry or similar fast-paced, dynamic sectors is highly preferred.
  • Leadership Reporting Expertise Proven experience in creating comprehensive and insightful reports for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Corporate Governance Knowledge Strong understanding of corporate governance practices and the requirements for board reporting.
  • Communication Skills Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
  • Financial Acumen Strong financial analysis and business performance measurement skills, with the ability to draw connections between financial results and strategic objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership Demonstrated ability to work across departments, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment in reporting.
  • Strategic Thinking Ability to analyze business performance and provide high-level strategic insights that inform decision-making.
  • Attention to Detail Meticulous approach to preparing reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clarity in all communications.
  • Entertainment Industry Experience Prior experience in the entertainment or media industry is preferred, though not required.

The salary range for this position is $180,000 to $190,000 and will be commensurate with experience related to the position.
