The Quality Assurance Tech - Rigging will provide oversite ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of rigging equipment within the warehouse environment. They are responsible for inspecting, testing, and certifying rigging gear to meet industry standards and regulations. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of rigging equipment used in various applications, including construction, manufacturing, and entertainment, to mitigate risks and ensure optimal performance.
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to :
- Conduct thorough visual inspections of rigging hardware, including slings, shackles, hooks, and lifting devices, to identify any signs of wear, damage, or defects. Utilize knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, OSHA) to ensure compliance and safety.
- Perform load testing to verify the integrity and strength of rigging equipment. Issue certification documents for compliant gear, ensuring traceability and documentation accuracy.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures to uphold the highest standards of rigging equipment. Develop inspection checklists, documentation protocols, and record-keeping systems to track equipment status and maintenance history accurately.
- Work closely with warehouse managers, supervisors, and fellow technicians to coordinate rigging equipment inspections, testing schedules, and maintenance activities. Communicate effectively to ensure timely resolution of any issues or concerns regarding rigging gear.
- Provide training and guidance to warehouse staff on proper rigging equipment handling, inspection techniques, and safety protocols. Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and technological advancements to enhance the team's knowledge and skills.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the rigging quality assurance workflow. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to address any recurring issues or safety concerns proactively.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among warehouse personnel, emphasizing the importance of proper rigging equipment usage and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of rigging equipment inspections, testing results, certifications, and maintenance activities. Generate comprehensive reports detailing findings, recommendations, and compliance status for internal review and external audits.
Base Salary Range : $23.90 / hr - $35.42 / hr This represents the low and high end of the company's base salary range for this position. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
