The Technical PM - Touring I is responsible for planning, managing and monitoring the work of technical staff and technical elements for supporting successful events and services sold to clients working within established company guidelines.
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to :
- Work with Director of Touring and other team members and departments to maintain tour technical quality. Review tour quotes for the appropriate utilization and specifications of technical equipment and assignments of technical staff.
- Act as internal technical consultant, relaying technical issues and trends to Engineering and Technology staff. Monitor and evaluate Quality Control processes and make recommendations as to the overall quality of product in inventory to ensure customer satisfaction with rental and tour results.
- May act as a technical liaison to clients to explain technology, quality expectations, and technical options. Assist with sales demonstrations to customers as required. Participate in venue walk-through and site-visits to determine logistics requirements. Determine means of overcoming venue limitations and ensure the optimization of tour quality. Determine equipment requirements, plan placement, evaluate the feasibility of clients' concept in designated venue and recommend options to achieve expected results.
- Manage the quality of the tour product and the on-site implementation of tours through technical guidance of tour staff. Ensure that equipment pull-lists prepared by technicians are complete and provided to Warehouse staff to meet with critical logistical requirements.
- Assess technical training requirements for Tour Technicians, quality control and engineering staff. Research and develop training systems including internal and external training programs to enhance knowledge and skills required by current and future business objectives. Recommend training approaches and implement authorized programs. Monitor progress of participants and report to management on results. Consult with Director of Touring and other management staff and assist to evaluate the technical skills of applicants and internal candidates for any range of technical positions.
- Monitor and consult technicians on touring projects or assignments as required to assist with the investigation and resolution of problems and to provide technical and managerial support during any phase of tour preparation, implementation or close out. Review show reports and follow up to investigate and resolve outstanding issues and areas of concern including customer satisfaction, logistics, equipment and venue related issues.
- Analyze current equipment for lease inventory, research new technology and available equipment, arrange for product demonstrations, evaluate and compare brands and approaches and recommend the purchase of new equipment based on available technology, client preferences, show scope, and creative trends.
Base Salary Range : $80,055.32 / yr - $118,636.20 / yr. This represents the low and high end of the company's base salary range for this position. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
