TEQSPORT is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, document, and validate world-class mechanical components and kits. This role will focus primarily on developing innovative products for Toyota and Lexus trucks and SUVs.
TEQSPORT Engineers will be a part of the Z1 Engineering Team, and will collaborate closely with the supply chain, quality control, manufacturing, marketing, and project lifecycle teams. Responsibilities
- Perform feasibility studies on new product ideas and establish timelines for development
- Use in-house 3D scanners to reverse engineer the packaging envelope for new products and set
- Develop component and assembly CAD models in SolidWorks
- Use in-house 3D printers to print components for test fitment and, if applicable, on-vehicle use
- Create complete Bills of Materials for products and sub-assemblies with great attention to detail
- Present design reviews to engineering staff and others to seek design approval
- Use Solidworks to create manufacturing drawings for components and assemblies
- Responsible for creating sample validation plans and rigorous validation of sample products
- Work with Quality Control to establish quality standards for new products
- Passion for off-roading, overlanding, and automotive modification
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, including CAD modeling and drawing creation
- Strong understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes
- Experience using 3D printing for prototyping and validation
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and general PC usage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs as needed
Desired Qualifications:
- 3D scanning and metrology experience
- Hands-on experience with welding, metal fabrication, and machining (manual/CNC)
- Knowledge of automotive electronics and wiring
