We are currently seeking a Referral Coordinator to join our team. This is a full-time role.
The expected annualized base pay range for this position will be from $17.75 to $26.50, plus core and optional employee benefits. Entira Family Clinics considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for scheduling outside appointments for patients with specialists, radiology, etc
- Completing the referral module for all referrals (specialist, outside tests and radiology) and faxing to the insurance company as needed
- Faxing/transmitting diagnostic imaging and physical therapy orders
- Entering orders into the Minnesota Gastroenterology web site
- Creating orders for tests as needed
- Sending appropriate notes, labs, and reports to specialists
- Performing quality checks to verify outside test appointments are kept
- Participation with patient and family centered principles that are aligned with Health Care Home standards
Requirements:
- HS diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a medical setting preferred
- Medical terminology and computer skills a plus
- Must possess excellent organizational, communication and human relations skills
