HR Coordinator - Amarr - Lawrence, KS

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is considering candidates for a Human Resources Coordinator in Lawrence, KS.

An HR Coordinator maintains the Human Resources Department records system, filing, posting and reports preparation.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1: Mails rejection letters regarding applicants.

2 : Maintains employees Disciplinary Action Reports and logs them into the AS/400.

3 : Maintains and distributes Team Member Probationary Report.

4 : Posts Salaried/Hourly timecards in Excel.

5 : Processes and files all new hire paperwork.

6 : Mails terminated employees' COBRA letter and 401(k) documents and terminates accompanied dental and vision coverage.

7 : Orders and stocks various supplies in the People closet.

8 : Opens and circulates all of the People mail.

9 : Maintains plant and office bulletin boards in an up-to-date and legally compliant manner.

10 : Assists People Department Staff in other various jobs.

11 : Assists in the recognition of Team Member milestones, such as birthdays and anniversaries, and Team Member relations, as needed.

12 : Provides quarterly training to Department Leads, Supervisors, and Business Unit Managers regarding a specific People Department issue that needs to be addressed.

13 : Coordinates with the Team Member and Community Relations Administrator in maintaining the Team Member Resource Center in a legally compliant manner.

14 : Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor

THE MOST IMPORTANT ACTIVITIES PERFORMED:

1 : Assists public by screening applications and resumes and answering questions.

2 : Administers/Maintains disciplinary action process

3 : Interviews applicants

4 : Performs new employee orientation

5 : Maintains employment resumes, application forms, and applicant flow, ensuring their compliance with company policy.

6 : Places open positions in local newspapers' classified advertisement section.

7 : Aids team members by assisting them with a variety of changes and requests and distributing health information.

8 : Maintains daily attendance reports.

9 : Prepares and distributes monthly report.

10 : Maintains team member personnel, medical, and worker's compensation files in line with company policies and government regulations.

11 : Maintains job descriptions on all salaried positions and coordinates with appropriate team members when a new position needs a job description written.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1 : Light office activities and duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):

1 : Minimum of two (2) years of college, including courses in Human Resources Management, equivalent experience.

2 : Minimum of two (2) years administrative experience.

3 : Competency in office skills, including proficiency with office equipment such as computer, including spreadsheets, calculator, copier, and FAX machine.

4 : Ability to process data quickly and accurately.

5 : Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with diverse personalities in a tactful and flexible manner.

6 : Ability to convey a positive and professional image to applicants and employees.

7 : Must possess the ability to coordinate multiple projects.

8 : Able to keep a professional level of confidentiality in handling employee information and express independent judgment that accurately reflects company policy.

9 : Possess organizational skills and the ability to perform a volume of detail work with speed and accuracy.

10 : Actively involved in and promote all Society for Human Resource Management activities.
