Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate Resident Care Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide personalized care and support to residents in a long-term care facility, ensuring their well-being and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Monitor and document residents' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Engage residents in social activities and provide emotional support
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans
- Help residents navigate systems and services within the facility
Experience:
- Previous experience in long-term care or caregiving preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols
- Ability to lift and transfer residents safely
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Familiarity with home and community care services
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy towards residents
- Valid driver's license for transportation needs
