Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining our operational reviews and performance boards for Senior Directors. You will be responsible for building comprehensive data reports, benchmarking against industry standards, and providing in-depth analysis of past and forecasted performance costs. Your insights will directly influence our strategic decisions and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Reviews and Boards:

• Collaborate with Senior Directors to identify key performance metrics.
• Design and implement dashboards to display these metrics.
• Automate data updates to ensure real-time accuracy.

Historical Unit Cost Analysis:

• Compile and analyze historical unit cost data.
• Compare historical data with current year metrics to identify trends and changes.

Industry Benchmarking:

• Research and gather data on industry rates, pay, and labor costs.
• Conduct comparative analysis to benchmark our performance against competitors.

Performance Cost Analysis:

• Segment past performance data by cost element, labor, workstream, and project type.
• Compare segmented data to 2024 and 2025 forecasts to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Unit Cost Performance Tracking:

• Establish thresholds for unit costs based on project type and attributes.
• Implement tracking systems to monitor unit cost performance and alert for deviations.

 This is a hybrid role in San Ramon, CA

Required Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree 
• Minimum 3-5 years related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working within construction, energy, utilities, engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical), consulting or related space
• Experience with Metric Dashboarding

Benefits & Salary:

• This position pays around $75,000 - $90,000 annually and is an exempt position.
• Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.
• Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.
• May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
