Brief Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Shipping Coordinator role entails arranging product transportation processes, loading delivery trucks, and filling client orders. They are expected to support company operations by managing all incoming and outgoing shipments - domestic and international. They also need to ensure safety in the working area and maintain accurate documentation of the materials that are being shipped.

Daily contact with other departmental personnel. Occasionally works in all weather conditions, extreme temperatures, around chemicals and chemical fumes/emissions, dusty & clean environments. When working with surplus and scrap materials, will frequently be required to work outside and/or in an unaired conditioned warehouse. Continuous use of vision, hearing and speech. Frequent sitting, standing, walking and occasional bending. Will lift, carry, pull / push, and reach for supplies and on occasion lifting (up to 50 lbs.) while performing various aspects of the job; Will need to climb stairs, climb ladders, lift and move objects, requires manual dexterity and repetitive use of keyboard/computer devices/power tools/machining equipment; Wear safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes.
Hours / Special Conditions
12 hour rotating shifts 4 days on and 4 days off; Rotating shifts requires working night shifts; Present to fulfill job duties & meet operational demands/support; Schedule may vary depending on plant operational needs thus flexibility is required which may include long days, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime; Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Essential Job Functions
- Completing all the shipping documents in SAP
- Making all SAP transactions to capture movement of finished goods
- Coordinating loads as truck drivers arrive
- Leading truck inspections
- Ensuring finished goods meet quality requirement prior to loading
- Operating a forklift as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to effectively use MS Office suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Required – High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Required–at least 1 year of warehouse shipping experience
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Solid math skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience in tracking international shipments is a plus
- Forklift/Side-loader Certification preferred
- Must be able to pass drug and background
- 2-3 Years of related experience, preferred
- A self-motivated individual with shipping and receiving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate a full-size forklift
- Knowledge of different metals, ability to read blueprints, basic computer skills, and knowledgeable of inventory control
- Individual chosen would work closely with planning, production and sales departments
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
- General knowledge of basic hardware and software and uses of a variety of different computer operating systems such as Microsoft Office Work, Excel, Outlook, Google Workspace, and web-site software
- General knowledge of SAP, preferred; or other inventory shipping/receiving tracking systems knowledge
