About You:
We are searching for a motivated Chief Financial Officer who will lead our financial operations and strategy. You will be responsible for all fiscal functions of Enveda and will work with the CEO and members of leadership to develop and execute the company's financial goals and objectives. The CFO will possess a record of demonstrated success in building and managing a finance function from scratch, with proven experience building successful teams and processes in high-growth biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies. You would be a key member of the leadership team and will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Builds a finance and accounting team, providing both a compliant retrospective and indispensable prospective financial outlook of the company to all relevant stakeholders
- Assess organizational financial performance against the annual budget, and the company's long-term strategy
- Develops tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
- Oversees long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the company's strategic plans
- Advise the CEO on business operations and strategic financial planning
- Develop regular board and shareholder finance and accounting reports
- Ensures maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures for the company
- Ensures accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting to the company's CEO and leadership team
- Ensures GAAP, legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions
- Eventually represent the company to business partners, analysts, investors, including financial institutions and auditors
- Manages all short and long-term strategic financial objectives of the company, supporting the executive team with vital financial information and operational analytics, and driving a culture of accountability in managing the business.
- Assist the CEO in the successful growth of the organization, including capital raising strategies
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role at a high-growth or publicly traded biotech/pharmaceutical company
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, and an MBA from a top institution are highly desired
- CPA designation and previous work experience at a big four accounting firm is a plus
- Has played a key role in an IPO process at a biotechnology company
- Entrepreneurial-minded with demonstrated success in building, leading, and working collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams
