What you bring to the table
The opportunity to work autonomously in the lab with a collaborative spirit. Play an integral role of the team by supporting the work in the lab and ensuring the entire lab operates efficiently by making and sterilizing microbiology media, maintaining inventory, calibrating and maintaining equipment while keeping a clean laboratory.
What you will do as a Research Technician
- Balance multiple responsibilities
- Follow protocols for making and sterilizing microbiology media
- Interact with scientists to produce novel media
- Calibrate and maintain equipment according to SOP’s
- Sterilize supplies
- Manage supplies and order as needed
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness
To succeed you must hold:
- 1-2 years of lab experience.
- Standard laboratory methods and procedures.
- Curiosity of and comfort working in, areas of biology and industrial microbiology.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office
