Production Systems Administrator

Envestnet is seeking a Production Systems Administrator to join our MoneyGuide department. This is a hybrid role, with in-office work required at our Powhatan, VA office location.

Job Summary: 

The Production Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the reliability, performance, and security of our production systems. This role will oversee system administration tasks, implement effective solutions, and help create long-term plans for system maintenance. The Production Systems Administrator’s knowledge will be key in improving operations and reducing downtime.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing on production system administration tasks, including capacity management, disaster recovery, and security.
  
• Support and assist in the implementation of scalable production system setups.
  
• Respond to and assist in resolving system issues.
  
• Monitor system performance and execute on strategies to improve it.
  
• Support the implementation of security measures to protect systems and data.
  
• Work with internal teams, such as development and analysts, to achieve shared goals.
  
• Help complete security practices like audits and vulnerability checks.
  
• Apply strategies to maintain good production system performance.
  
• Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.  
  
• As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
  

Required Qualifications: 

• 5 years of experience in production system management for a sass product
  
• Extensive knowledge of network protocols and security best practices.
  
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
  
• 5 experience in Linux/Unix system administration
  
• Deep understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  
• Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills 
  
• Proficiency in SQL scripting language
  
• Experience with Jira
  

Preferred Qualifications: 

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject
