Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct experiments and testing procedures with accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain clear and precise records of all relevant data and test results in a laboratory notebook
- Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols
- Participate in routine laboratory maintenance and support daily R&D operations
- Assist the production team with verifying weigh-outs and manufacturing final products
- Support quality control by testing raw materials and finished products
- Order raw material samples and manage the laboratory inventory
- Use IT tools and systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Slack) for communication, documentation, and collaboration across the company
- Keep laboratory management and key project stakeholders updated on progress
- Follow good laboratory practices and safety procedures
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- B.S. in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific field preferred
- Strong creative thinking, technical writing, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
- Adaptable to changing priorities and capable of handling multiple projects at once
- Proficient in applying mathematical concepts like fractions, percentages, and ratios to real-world situations
- Experience with laboratory equipment such as pH meters, hot plates, propeller mixers, etc
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
