Environment Control is hiring our next long-term General Ledger Accountant to join our family. This is a rare opportunity to join our accounting department, which has an average tenure of 15 years. This opportunity will involve daily communication with fellow accountants and owners.
Minimum Requirements :
A four-year accounting degree and / or equivalent experience, including 5 years of general ledger experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of the position.
Skills Required :
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply basic algebra and GAAP concepts to help solve accounting problems—strong computer skills, including comprehensive understanding of Excel. Strong verbal and written skills are essential.
Responsibilities :
- Approve AP to ensure proper coding
- Detail-oriented financial reports, ledgers, and financial documents
- Audit assistance
- Preparing taxes
- Review financial information with managing owners.
