Janitorial Worker - Evening

Environment Control is hiring part-time, evening janitorial positions (Controller) to join our growing team from Spokane, WA to Coeur d'Alene, ID. The responsibilities of the role include basic janitorial work.

We are also looking for is part-time, evening janitors to manage “Terminal Cleans” in medical facilities. The responsibilities of the role include basic janitorial work and extremely detailed cleaning and sterilization.

What a Controller does:

• Learn and apply Environment Control procedures, uphold Environment Control standards
• Floor cleaning such as: mopping, dusting, vacuuming
• Restroom cleaning such as: restocking soap and hand sanitizer dispensers, emptying trashes, wiping all touch points, toilet cleaning
• General office cleaning such as: emptying trashes, wiping/dusting all touch points and surfaces
• Communicate regularly with supervisor regarding repairs needed to assigned facility
• Maintain confidentiality
• All other tasks/duties assigned within scope of the Controller position

What a Terminal Controller does:

• Disinfect and/or sanitize all rooms in a medical facility with extreme attention to detail, up to hospital level standards
• Follow all procedures of Environment Control including donning appropriate protective wear when necessary and abiding by manufacturer’s guidelines with cleaning materials
• Maintain absolute cleanliness of air vents and grills
• Maintain absolute cleanliness of ceilings and floors
• Empty all waste appropriately and ensure cleanliness of receptacles
• Communicate regularly with supervisor regarding repairs needed to assigned facility
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• All other tasks/duties assigned within scope of the Terminal Controller position

What we require:

• Understanding of the necessity of infection control via in-depth cleaning
• If you are assigned to a medical facility, you must provide black scrub bottoms
• At least 16 years of age for Standard Controller, 18 years of age for Terminal Controller
• Have a valid ID and reliable transportation
• Working smart phone and willingness to utilize it for work purposes
• Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds daily, up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
