Area Manager - Janitorial - Evening/nights

Environment Control is hiring a full-time, evening/night Area Manager in Coeur d'Alene and the surrounding area (Hayden/Post Falls). The responsibilities of this position include maintaining a knowledge of the assigned area, supervision of 50 employees, training of new hires including Supervisors, upholding customer satisfaction, utilization of smart phone for work tasks including electronic ticketing system utilized by customers, management, and the Operations team, coverage for basic janitorial duties as needed, and a strong commitment to the team environment built by our company. The position requires regular travel daily to our main office in Spokane Valley and throughout the assigned area with your own vehicle.

Environment Control is a locally owned building service company doing business in the Inland Northwest area for over 50 years. What we require:

• 2 years of management experience (minimum)
• 1 year of experience training employees (minimum)
• Previous, recent experience working at night (preferred)
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must have own vehicle and willingness to utilize it for work purposes
• Must have working smart phone and willingness to utilize it for work purposes
• Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
• Must be able to carry and lift 50 pounds
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with an ability to problem solve independently
• Must have Limited Working Proficiency (Level 2) in English, with the ability to understand basic training and safety instructions. Bilingual applicants are highly recommended to apply!
• High school diploma or equivalent

What an Area Manager does:

• Start their work day at our main office in Spokane Valley, typically between 4pm-5pm
• Master Environment Control's long standing processes, procedures, and knowledge of our policies and best practices
• Obtain high-level knowledge of all assigned buildings and customers
• Train new hires as assigned, from entry level to management level employees
• Fill in for absent Supervisors
• Ensure all cleaning in the assigned area is completed, including covering cleaning duties as needed
• Ensure all employees are trained properly and are aware of company policies
• Utilize ticketing system to address customers and assign nightly duties
• Complete all formal inspection reports in a professional manner
• Effectively handle customer issues and resolve problems
• Effectively manage labor
• Communicate hiring needs
• Attend all company meetings
• All other tasks/duties assigned within the scope of the Area Manager position
