The Environment for the Americas is seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Community Planner intern to join its Future Leaders of Tomorrow Internship Program. This innovative and fast-paced program is looking for emerging leaders to help build and leverage community partnerships, develop strategies to enhance interpretive programs, and collaborate with its dynamic and diverse team.
In this role, you will work closely with the Chief of Interpretation and Visitor Services to brainstorm, create, and strengthen new and existing community partnerships. You will also develop an event plan for hosting an annual Hispanic Heritage Month event at the park.

Responsibilities:
- Expand partnership opportunities, focusing on organizations that engage local youth.
- Develop and lead innovative strategies to enhance community engagement.
- Build new or strengthen existing community partnerships for Salinas Pueblo Missions.
- Support the creation of innovative communications targeting Hispanic-serving organizations in Central New Mexico.
- Work collaboratively with the Interpretation and Visitor Services team and other park divisions, contributing ideas to improve park operations.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school diploma.
- A valid driver's license and ability to drive long distances are required.
- Must be able to pass a federal background check.
- Willing and able to represent Salinas Pueblo Missions in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner.
- Resourceful, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
