Key Responsibilities:
60% Visitor Services and Interpretation:
- Provide resource information and park orientation to visitors at the front desk of a busy visitor center
- Roving trails and providing Leave No Trace, stewardship, and safety information to visitors
Social Media and Web Team (20%):
- Develop and write posts with the Visual Information Specialist and Canyonlands team
- Plan and create content for the annual Latino Conservation Week
Community Outreach (20%):
- Cultivate new park experiences and community outreach for the local Latino community in Moab
- Create various youth and community programming with the Outreach & Volunteers Assistant Coordinator
Qualifications:
- Customer service experience
- Public speaking experience
- Conversational Spanish
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to research and develop educational programs
- Team player
- Basic knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strategic thinking ability
- The ability to self-start/work independently
- Enjoy working with all ages
