Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Browns Summit, North Carolina. In this role you will inspect, test, and monitor processes to ensure the highest quality of all products. Using various precision tools and equipment, you will evaluate items in accordance with engineering specifications and established quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Verify unit or product is manufactured per EAS/industry standards and project documents
Perform equipment verification per approved submittal
Verify all product tests have been properly executed
Verify test reports have been properly and accurately completed
Audit units and ensure quality checks, records, and travelers are completed
Perform inspections of all units / assemblies
Coordinate with Project Manager concerning requirements of customer’s Factory Acceptance Test
Perform or assist with vibration analysis and dynamic trim balancing on fans
Perform welding inspections throughout production (if CWI- or NDT Level II-certified)
Verify construction against fabrication drawings
Review pipe installations per P&ID
Coordinate with Production Designers to resolve any issues during production
Ensure all project documentation is completed, gathered, and properly filed
Education/Experience:
A.S. in Business Administration, Engineering, Welding, HVAC, or other qualifying experience
Certified Welding Inspector or NDT Level II Visual Testing Certification preferred
You will be supported by on-the-job training and continued education training
Minimum five years’ experience in this industry or a related field will be considered in lieu of formal education as determined by management
Job Requirements/Special Skills:
Excellent documentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, BlueBeam Revu, Gmail, and Cloud-based servers
Strong understanding of product design and manufacturing processes
Strong leadership, coaching, and problem solving skills
Ability to coordinate multiple projects, people, and functions
Knowledge of plant safety and construction requirements
Knowledge of ANSI/AISC 360-16 Specification for Structural Steel Buildings, Chapter N (Quality Control and Quality Assurance)
