Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team in High Point, North Carolina. The Quality Engineer (QE) deploys and continuously improves the Product Quality Plan (PQP) of EAS Manufacturing for the purpose of ensuring customer satisfaction and low Cost of Poor Quality. The QE owns Key Process Indicators that measure customer satisfaction and process performance. Work with stakeholders (customers, management and peers) within the quality function and others to meet or exceed quality requirements and other business objectives.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate the resolution of customer complaints, with the goals of effective containment, elimination of root cause, prevention of recurrence, sustainable results, and cost effectiveness
Monitor, collect, analyze, and conceptualize customer data to identify problems, trends and opportunities for improvement
Ensure the identification of quality requirements, development and execution of the PQP through Advanced Quality Planning (AQP)
Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)
Collect or coordinate the collection of information necessary to address customer complaints
Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
Verify the effectiveness and sustainability of RCCA
Implement and maintain Core Quality Tools (Process Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and Process Failure Modes and Effects Analyses), with support from other functions
Serve as a Lead Auditor to assist management in evaluating the Quality Management System (QMS)
Conduct Process Audits as required by the PQP or the QMS
Train other EAS employees or suppliers and serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Core Quality Tools, AQP, RCCA, and CQI
Take, recommend or delegate actions to address quality problems through RCCA or CQI
Education/Experience:
Required: High school diploma or GED and five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing or construction industry, with three (3) years’ experience in quality assurance, quality control or quality auditing
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or business discipline, especially Business Administration, Management, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
Job Requirements/Special Skills:
Expert knowledge of AQP (or APQP), Core Quality Tools and RCCA
Expert knowledge of manufacturing or construction processes
Expert knowledge of analytical tools such as Six Sigma, Shainin or Total Quality Management (TQM)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Computing skills (Google Workspace applications required, BIM 360, bug reporting tools, statistical software, and Power BI preferred)
Ability to lead with influence through coaching, teaching and managing expectations
Ability to coordinate multiple projects, people and functions
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or AISC
