What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Service Operations position at Environmental Air Systems?
Job Functions and Duties:
- Driving business development and sales through direct reports by ensuring the development of new and innovative services that maximize bookings, revenue, and profits for the branch businesses.
- Reviewing current service offerings and ensuring that the most relevant and profitable services are being offered to meet market demands and future opportunities.
- Planning and directing the organization's activities to achieve agreed growth and profit targets and meet standards for financial and commercial performance.
- Creating a regional business development, sales and operations network that delivers the best-in class total solutions service and has coverage that spans the business strategic markets regionally.
- Evaluating, monitoring, measuring, and reporting on operational activities of the organization according to strategies and objectives while identifying opportunities and development plans for the achievement of targets.
- Identify initiatives focused on improving efficiencies in service operations and profitability and being able to create strategies to solve those challenges. Lead the implementation efforts of those strategies to successful resolution.
- Work with Service Branches to focus on indirect cost management, utilization, absorption, and project management, ensuring profit targets are met.
- Work closely with Executive leadership to create a cohesive executive team that is focused on shared goals and results across sales and operation teams.
- Have a sense of urgency and ability to address challenges in a dynamic environment while working with leadership across the organization.
- Creating centers of excellence and driving process improvement based on key performance metrics and targets on capability, delivery performance, safety, quality, and financial performance.
- Creating processes and guidelines to ensure that client relationships are leveraged and optimized across geographies.
- Identifying opportunities for strategic business acquisition in line with the growth strategy.
- Benchmarking the company's service offerings, key processes and structure with other world class organizations and leading the development/introduction of new services and solutions.
- Liaising with peers in the region and across the CSUSA Operating Companies to maximize synergies while ensuring that all stakeholders are fully aware of operational objectives, current capabilities, and service innovation opportunities.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure all safety protocols are in place and enforced.
Qualifications:
- Experience in after-market and/or total solutions services, ideally gained from an industrial products sector that caters to facility operations and maintenance segments.
- Alternatively, experience from commercial and industrial product sectors with a strong safety and mission critical component will be considered.
- Exceptional leadership skills and capability to build consensus and execute common goals.
- Must have strong and demonstrable domain expertise and knowledge in HVAC solutions contracting and aftermarket parts/services business.
- Demonstrable track record of success in a leadership role managing an organization of a similar complexity and matrix structure.
- Candidate must be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and must be capable and comfortable presenting to executive leadership and other internal audiences.
Education and Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in HVAC Service.
- Selected candidate must have an undergrad degree in Business or Engineering and preferably an MBA.
- Strong Excel, Microsoft Office skills.
