Pipefitter - Reedy Fork

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking skilled Pipefitters to join our manufacturing shop in Browns Summit, North Carolina.

Schedule : 6 : 00am-4 : 30pm with OT as necessary

Location : 5955 Summit Ave, Summit Ave, Browns Summit, NC 27214

Responsibilities :

• Install industrial piping systems : chill water, hot water, steam, condensate, and condensed water
• Read blueprints and submittals
• Fabricate pipe supports and spool copper lines
• Work independently and problem solve
• Repair, cap, and test all types of plumbing piping
• Instruct plumbing helpers under your supervision
• Practice all safety procedures
• Hold license to operate equipment necessary for the role

Education Requirements / Qualifications :

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
• Rigging knowledge preferred
• 5 years pipefitter experience preferred
• Knowledge of pipefitter equipment, power tools, and fabrication methods
• Knowledge of different types of pipe, valves, fittings, and their functions
• General knowledge of code requirements and limitations
• Knowledge of occupational hazards, including ladders

• Ownership of pipefitter hand tools
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
